Snake Eyes: G.I. JOE Origins

More movie references that bring in esoteric knowledge. Recently I rewatched SnakeEyes, G.I. Joe origins, as I have had a fascination with Ninjitsu and Japanese fighting styles since I was very young (not sure where this came in, but it has been in mind since I was 5 years old). Though SnakeEyes is not the best of movies overall, it does have some interesting visuals and some esoteric wisdom. The first is the 3rd test which represents the 3 snakes of the kundalini energy or the yin and yang. there is the white snake of tests, the black snake of tests and the grey snake of tests. This both represents the black and white elements of the yin and yang symbology with the middle colored grey snake representing the path between. Interestingly they judge the heart of the initiate and depending on where you are on your path, that specific snake color is the one that attacks. When SnakeEyes confronts the snakes the first time he is attacked by the grey snake representing the middle path—a representation of him moving towards the light from his past, also a character arch later on in the film… Later when Kenta Takamura is lured into the pit he is instantly attacked by the black headed snake representing his heart in darkness. It is interesting that the 3 headed snake also represents the holy trinity but that does not apply the same to this story. During the movie the main item to be possessed is called the “Jewel of the Sun” and it is interesting that main members and fallen members of the same ancient clan are trying to posses it and its powers. This is a direct reference the Amilius and Belail factors stemming off from the same group that once ruled Atlantis and fighting over the “Fire Stone” aka the Tuaoi Stone, which had very similar powers to the Jewel of the Sun in SnakeEyes. Sunch interesting and obscure references in a very forgettable movie. Seems to be the way that these topics are leaked into the subconsciousness of society.

Tron Legacy symbology

After my show on saturnian symbolism with Jonny Enoch, here is another movie full of Saturnian Symbolism of recent times, Tron Legacy (2010). Here we have the depiction of a world with a second sun, the Grid, a technologically created world, and a black sun. All of the characters carry around rings of power with them (Lords of the Rings) which hold their information and their defense. We have Clue with a 2 letter anagram of EL (Saturn), his henchman Rinzler (also EL) and then we have Flynn representing Kronos the father of time in the realm and the creator. Then there is Zeus/aka Castor (representing Solomon casting Saturnian spells and sigils to control entities within the Realm (Zeus, the son of Kronos who refers to Flynn as the “father” of all time and the creator)). All of the gaming grids are hexagonal based and when Sam (another reference to the son of God) and Cora (co created Ra, thus Isis) escape the grid, they travel thru the hexagonal storm of Saturn’s north and south poles to escape the grid back to Earth)… Doesn’t get more rich than this folks!

Black Adam symbology

It is interesting how ancient symbols make their way into popular culture. In the movie “Black Adam”, you see a familiar hand sign or “mudra” (a symbolic or ritual hand gesture) being flashed, of 2 hands making a triangle. Jay Z is trying to trademark this hand gesture, mudra, and Black Adam “clearly” stole it from him as many people are suggesting… However this is a much older hand symbol, mudra and hand sigil, and is known to the masonic order, and the ancient Hindus, before them, as the “triangle of manifestation” which clearly Jay Z has borrowed for his own ritualistic use. I do find its use interesting in the Black Adam (Shazam) movie as well as this is what unites the people and manifests the “champion”. It goes to show that people are surrounded by ancient symbols and have no idea what they are, or where they have come from. Here is my second interview with Jonny Enoch, zeroing in on specifically Saturnian Symbolism, a brief history of the topic as it can be quite lengthy to get into all of the details. And where we can find similar symbolism in today’s society and especially in today’s logos and movies (ie: Interstellar, Tron Legacy, Hell Raiser, Star Trek Next Generation Borg, 2001, Bill & Teds excellent Adventure and Face the Music, Moon Fall to name a few).
