Elephantine Island

We flew 1000 miles south to Aswan to visit Elephantine Island a site dating from pre-dynastic up to 140BCE. This is the site where the Ark of the Covenant may have been stored. There is also strange evidence of Mayan people visiting ancient Khemit here as seen in the headdress of reeds, not typical to Egyptian glyphs or styles.

What most interests me is the granite box with pyramid top, that toppled from the pillars and cracked in the fall. The corners are perfect as are the machined curved lip of the boxes top piece, which cannot be reproduced with chisels or bashing out with stone balls… yet here it is.
